Questions
Water & Wastewater — common questions
Can remote sites work without mains power?
Yes. Solar with battery backup is standard for remote telemetry installations, and the instrumentation and RTU are specified for the available power budget. The design constraint is usually how often data is transmitted, which is a trade-off we size explicitly rather than assume.
Can this run an ETP or STP automatically?
Automation of dosing, aeration and sludge handling is well established and reduces the variation that comes from manual adjustment. Full unattended operation depends on the process, the variability of the incoming load and the regulatory position, and we are direct about what should remain supervised.
